US FinTech Robinhood is bringing its specialist desktop trading platform to the UK.
Robinhood Legend is a fully customisable and powerful browser that is designed specifically for active traders, available at no additional cost to those with a Robinhood account.
The company, which is aiming to help customers harness the full power of the financial markets so they can take control of their financial future, will give the 11 million UK citizens investing on a desktop access to the trading platform.
The firm has brought commission-free trading to the market and launched in the UK in March 2024, giving access to commission-free trading in stocks of titans including Apple and Amazon.
“The goal is for Robinhood to be the number one platform for active investors globally,” said Jordan Sinclair, president of Robinhood UK.
“Robinhood Legend gives UK investors the speed, precision, and customisation they need to stay ahead of the curve – with a platform that’s powerful, intuitive, beautifully designed, and free.
“It’s the new standard for modern trading in the UK, and still only the beginning of what we’re building here.”
The company says it regularly hears directly from UK customers who are interested in using the platform in their daily trading.
Its rollout has already begun and the platform will become available to all customers in the coming weeks.
