North East technology company Synergi has relocated its head office to accommodate continued expansion across the company.

The Gateshead business, which made the move to larger offices on The Watermark Business Park, is celebrating its fifth anniversary with plans to develop a presence in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London.

Established in August 2013 by Peter Joynson and Justin Short, the directors saw a shift and opportunity in the market for a modern technology company which focused and specialised on a Microsoft toolkit of software and business applications.

There has been year-on-year growth of 30 per cent with annual turnover set to hit almost £2 million within this next 12 months.

“The next five years should be even more exciting for both our business and customers,” said managing director Peter Joynson.

“As companies more widely adopt cloud platforms and extend them to do more advanced things like process automation, the impact of emerging capability in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning will bring a whole new dimension to the potential of our solutions and the value customers can expect from them.

“Much of our focus right now is about taking the mundane tasks out of human roles to help them add value to their organisation.”

Synergi’s current 20-strong team of tech and digital transformation consultants is steadily growing as more businesses and organisations switch from traditional IT systems to more flexible cloud-based technology.

The company’s clients include Irish Life, Repsol, Drager, Scottish Fire, Yorkshire Water, Babcock and Port of Tyne.
