Uber has launched its new on-demand delivery service, Courier, in the UK.
Courier is designed to help busy individuals and small businesses tackle everyday errands and deliveries with ease.
It is available now through the Uber app and will be live in 20 UK cities this summer.
“Courier is designed for those moments when something just needs to get done, but you can’t get to it yourself,” said Andrew Brem, general manager at Uber UK.
“By offering an easy, reliable way to send and receive items, Courier helps people and small businesses reclaim valuable time for what matters most.”

While Courier is well-suited for everyday personal tasks, it is also said to be a powerful new tool for small business owners who need to manage deliveries flexibly and efficiently.
The San Francisco-based giant’s service enables businesses to scale their operations, satisfy customers and stay competitive, all without leaving the Uber app.
Courier lives within the Uber app, leveraging features users already know, including live trip tracking, PIN verification and shareable delivery updates.
The service is currently available on the Uber app in Sheffield, Edinburgh, Stoke, Glasgow, Leicester, Oxford, Belfast, Northampton and Hull.
Uber’s plan is to further roll out the product in the coming weeks, with it expecting to be live in Brighton, Sussex, Cambridge and East Anglia, Cardiff, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Merseyside, Nottingham and Bristol.
