EdTechDeals

EdTech Thrive has acquired Stoke-on-Trent-based Huler, a smart intranet platform, just weeks after it completed the acquisition of Guider in a multi-million-pound deal.

It comes as the Nottingham-headquartered firm puts plans in place to build an integrated platform combining learning, mentoring and employee experience tools.

The deal brings together Thrive’s AI-driven learning platform, Huler’s personalised digital workspace and mentoring provider Guider.

The aim is to create a single system where employees can access everything from onboarding and training to internal communications and workplace tools.

Huler is already used by companies including Travelodge, Norgine and Dairy Queen. Its platform connects apps like Slack, Trello and Jira, allowing users to view messages, updates, calendars and other tools in one place.

With AI-powered personalisation and federated search, it aims to deliver a unified experience tailored to each employee’s role and needs.

Huler will continue to operate as a standalone brand, with further investment planned in analytics, AI personalisation and system integrations.

The platform will connect with HR software, learning systems, CRM tools and communication platforms, aiming to give users a single access point to all workplace systems.

The announcement follows Thrive signing for a new global HQ in London’s King’s Cross.

“We’re in the AI era now, and it’s time workplace tools caught up,” said CEO and founder of Thrive, Sean Reddington.

“With Thrive, Guider and Huler, we’re building tools that are actually fit for how people think, learn and work today.

“They’re fast, intuitive, and built to bring together human connection and AI –  the way work should be.”

Huler CEO, Richard Urwin, added: “We set out to change the world of work and make workplace tools feel as intuitive and accessible as the apps people love outside of work.

“We’ve always had bold ambitions and a different way of doing things, so teaming up with Thrive made perfect sense.

“With their momentum, vision and standout tech stack, we’re not just building tools for the AI era – we’re delivering them to customers who are ready to lead now.”
