Tomorrow, Pro-Manchester hosts a discussion on the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) regulatory changes, as well as one of the most crucial issues facing the corporate sector at present.
Hosted by Keith Hiscock (CEO) and Richard Angus (Head of Business Development) of Hardman and Co, organisers say it’s time to reappraise the way professional service providers address issues with corporates.
The traditional mechanisms for providing entrepreneurs with appropriate funding are under stress.
Increasing regulatory obligations and commercial pressures threaten the timely provision of capital to the small company sector in particular.
Furthermore, with MiFID II taking effect from 3 January 2018, it is the final countdown before capital markets see one of the biggest changes to the financial instruments regulatory framework since 2008.
Hardman and Co is a rapidly growing London-based corporate advisory and research house that works alongside corporates and their advisers to help optimise growth prospects.
The next BusinessCloud event is Focus on tech scene in Manchester, which will be hosted on February 17 at the new KPMG offices in the city centre.
A panel of entrepreneurs will be joined by industry experts between to look at what the future holds for the area’s technology sector in this breakfast event held in association with recruitment agency Search.
The event runs from 7.30-10am. Join the discussion on Twitter at #mcrtech.
