Tech Nation unveils 10 Rising Stars winners

The 10 winners of Tech Nation’s Rising Stars competition have been unveiled following the final in London.

Hundreds of start-ups applied for the chance to win a funding package worth more than £4,000, narrowed down to 20 finalists who pitched to judges at the Rich Mix arts centre auditorium in Shoreditch in front of 150 tech industry leaders.

Companies taking part in the competition have annual revenues up to £1.5m and at least one active client or pilot.

The winners, which are listed below, will now have access to one-to-one mentoring; introductions to potential partners and investors; a tailored public relations campaign; and tailored support from the programme sponsors including BDODrive, Microsoft, Bing and TLT LLP.

In addition, the winners will benefit from further pitch training, coaching and a host of networking opportunities.

“Some of tonight’s winners will doubtless go on to become technology brands in their own right and others will partner with and solve problems for larger companies,” said judge Warwick Hill, senior MD Europe, Microsoft for Startups.

“Whatever route they take, they will benefit greatly from access to industry expertise. I’d like to congratulate all those who took part and wish them well.”
