BusinessCloud can reveal its TransportTech 50 innovation ranking for 2021.
Readers of the online technology publication and an independent judging panel have together decided the 50 companies blazing a technology trail in the transportation sector.
The TransportTech 50 – supported by digital transformation experts Sputnik Digital – celebrates businesses of all sizes creating original tech for mobility, transportation, wayfinding and logistics.
What3words, which allows navigation to any corner of the globe with just three words, tops the ranking.
In second spot is fellow London company Transreport, which is transforming the travel experiences of those with reduced mobility.
Connected vehicle data company wejo, headquartered in Chester with incredible traction in the United States, is third.
Busby (Liverpool) and FiveAI (Cambridge) also make the top five.
Busby is a personal safety app which transforms your phone into an intelligent incident detector. With users in 129 countries, Busby can verify three lives which have been saved due to using the app.
DeGould, the global leader in automated vehicle inspections, made the top 10.
Powered by artificial intelligence, it partners unrivalled image quality with AI algorithms based on more than 100 million vehicle image data sets to inspect for dents and damage.

BusinessCloud called on its readers to vote for companies from the 83-strong shortlist and saw more than 1,200 votes pour in.
A combination of these votes and choices from an independent judging panel determined the top 50.
The judging panel for the rankings was comprised of:
