Orka, a technology platform for hourly workers, has hired Hayley Gee as its new Head of Product.
Gee joins from MoneySuperMarket and will play a leading role in driving the growth of Orka’s recently launched salary advance scheme product, Orka Pay.
The service was launched earlier this year to enable shift workers at partner organisations to withdraw up to 50% of their wages as soon as they have earned them, as alternative to high-interest loans.
Gee will also lead on the development of several new products and the user experience of Orka’s flagship product, the work platform Broadstone.
With previous stints as Senior Product Manager at the BBC and Product Owner at Booking.com, Gee brings consumer finance product experience to the role.

Alongside Hayley’s appointment, Orka has made two further hires in its community team, which will help to improve customer experience and overall user journeys.
