Online scheduling tool Doodle seeks an ambitious expansion into the global enterprise market, starting with two new senior appointments.

Jens Naie joins the company as CTO and Tilman Eberle has been named VP of marketing & communication.

“As we are setting out to conquer the global business scheduling market, strong technology and marketing capabilities are crucial,” said Doodle managing director Gabriele Ottino.

“With the UK on the top of our list for expansion, I’m particularly happy to welcome Jens’ and Tilman’s international experience.”

Naie is a computer engineer who most recently headed up the German IT division of the Takeaway.com Group (Liefrando.de).

Previous to this, he was a partner and technical manager at competitonline, the largest German-speaking architectural community and tender platform.

“What I find fascinating about Doodle is the forward-looking technology, such as the AI-empowered automated scheduling chatbot, Meekan,” said Naie.

“I look forward to working with high-quality IT experts that have already developed such impressive tech.”

As VP of marketing & communication, Eberle will oversee all of Zurich-based Doodle’s worldwide marketing and communication activities.

He already has a wealth of experience at Doodle, having played a central role in the company’s branding campaigns between 2008 and 2012.

Since then, he has held a number of senior positions such as the head of marketing and communications of at Video Intelligence and prior to this was a long-time member of the team at on-demand video platform, Viewster.

“I am delighted to be back and to be part of creating Doodle’s new vision as a leading scheduling service,” said Eberle.

Ottino said: “Doodle has a very talented team located in Zurich, Berlin, Tel Aviv, and Belgrade and the two new members are a perfect fit for us and our ambitious expansion strategy.

“Tilman Eberle is an old friend who brings extensive marketing expertise in both the B2C and B2B markets. Importantly, he knows Doodle and its success story inside out.

“I am also pleased to welcome Jens to the position of CTO. He assembled a significant development team at Lieferando and this experience will serve him well at Doodle as we seek to continually strengthen and improve our technology and grow the engineering team over the coming months.”
