High Wycombe based Olive Communications has appointed Andrew Jane as new chief technology officer.

The company, said to be the UK’s fastest growing cloud telephony and unified communications provider, plans to drive and support its global technology and cloud services strategy.

Jane joins Olive’s senior executive leadership team from Mitel, where he was responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions for global cloud infrastructure, environments and applications.

Last month Olive also announced ambitious international expansion plans, with the opening of an Australian office and another planned in North America.

“This is a hugely exciting time for Olive as the plans we laid down four years ago have proved successful, growing cloud revenues five-fold in that time, with some landmark customer wins and some key milestones in partnership with Mitel and Vodafone,” said Olive Communications’ Group CEO, Martin Flick.

“We were first to market with a fully integrated Mitel telephony, contact centre and integrated Vodafone mobile platform, on a pure subscription model all hosted in the cloud, first to win an Enterprise scale UC as a Service deployment (UCaaS), first to deploy a hybrid World Cloud platform globally and the results speak for themselves.”

Jane added: “Olive has been hugely successful over the years and has proven success and credibility in the UC and Contact Centre cloud arena.

“It’s exciting to be joining as the company continues to expand its global reach, whilst transitioning and elevating its technological abilities to the next level.

“I’m very much looking forward to building on this strong track record and developing Olive’s Cloud services.”
