A takeover of Leeds-headquartered tech consultancy BJSS by North American counterpart CGI has completed.
BJSS, founded in 1993 and led by managing director Mike Buck, employs 2,400 highly skilled consultants and professionals.
Montreal-based CGI, listed in New York and Toronto, says the deal will accelerate its UK-wide expansion, deepening its presence across key commercial industry sectors including retail, health, government, financial services and energy & utilities, as well as the public sector.
CGI now has a global network of 91,000 consultants and professionals. The deal brings the number of its employees located in the UK to over 8,500, with operations across 26 locations in the UK.
