Nominations are now open for the inaugural Greater Manchester Tech Climbers.
Tech Climbers is an annual list published with TechBlast and BusinessCloud, profiling the top performing product-led technology businesses in the region.
The launch into Greater Manchester follows successful campaigns in Yorkshire and Liverpool.
Last week around 100 people attended the launch event of Manchester Tech Climbers at No.1 Circle Square where speakers included Gemma McCall, co-founder of Culture Shift; Matt Robinson, head of nations and regions at techUK; Kiran Mehta, investment manager at Mercia Investment Management; and David Levine, principal of Manchester Angels.
Home to a £5 billion digital sector that raised a record of £532 million in 2022, Greater Manchester’s tech hub is thriving.
Greater Manchester Tech Climbers’ partners this year to date include Brabners, Burns Sheehan, Tech UK, MHA; Marks & Clerk, Mercia Asset Management, TD Synnex; and Microsoft with associate partners Data City, InnovateHer, Exchange, Manchester Digital; Manchester Tech Festival; and Science and Technology Facilities Council.
Businesses from Manchester, Stockport, Salford, Trafford, Tameside, Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Bolton and Wigan are invited to submit for the 2023 Tech Climber accolade.
Nominations are also invited from the wider business community and the closing date for entries is Wednesday August 16th.
The main list showcases the shining stars in the region, who offer cutting-edge product solutions that will impact the UK technology space.
The ‘ones to watch’ list shines a light on up-and-coming businesses with potential to disrupt the tech industry.
Anna Heyes, CEO at Active Profile and Tech Climbers founder, said: “Our ambition with Tech Climbers is to profile the brightest and best tech being developed in regions across the UK, creating a view of growth and showcasing the pioneering people behind the products.

“We’re looking for companies and brands making a real impact – creating innovative products, solving world problems with a clear commercial model for growth.”
