New platform aims to ‘put social back into social media’

Technology

A new social media platform that allows users to list, plan and find things to do has been launched.

Ch!tzo is a new lifestyle planner designed to satisfy every aspect of peoples’ social lives through a search facility that lists social activities and events spanning the UK.

Founded by entrepreneur and West Midlands-based business leader, Richard Gwatkin, Ch!tzo aims ‘to put the social back into social media’.

The platform integrates with the Microsoft Azure SQL Database, Azure Application Insights and Azure Search using Lucene.

Ch!tzo enables members of the public to find inspiration for a social activity, event or day out, while also helping people or businesses to list their events, activities and places to be found.

“We really believe that we have filled a gap in the market that enables people to successfully list, find and increase footfall for events and other social activities,” said Gwatkin.

“A lot of smaller businesses and solopreneurs don’t have the marketing spend available for a large promotion and struggle to get their activities found. Ch!tzo solves that, whilst helping users find a new activity to do.

“We are, therefore, hopeful that both listers and users will quickly see the benefit as the platform grows and is available for use in the coming months.”

Having already received backing from multiple investors, Ch!tzo employs a dedicated tech team to ensure the platform operates at optimum speed.

“The whole team have been fantastic. To bring Ch!tzo this far in such a short space of time is a massive achievement, where we now have a great product and an engaging brand, with the whole team excited to push on to the next phase,” added Gwatkin.

The platform is already attracting interest from a range of industry segments keen to start listing and has also established its brand presence via current social media platforms.
