Job search engine Adzuna has appointed a new chief financial officer.
James Parr most recently spent five years as CFO at the global performance marketing agency ForwardPMX, where he helped lead the expansion of the team and business from 200 to 1,000+ people and from four to 22 offices across 16 markets.
While at Forward, he also led the sale of Forward3D to Stagwell, the merger with PMX Agency to create ForwardPMX, and acquisition of The Search Agency.
Prior to ForwardPMX, Parr was finance director of iProspect, part of the Dentsu Aegis Network, and previously held senior positions at two publicly listed businesses, Betfair and Hyder Consulting, where he supported strategic growth initiatives including acquisitions and team building.
He will work alongside the existing finance and management teams at Adzuna to help them grow and scale the business, as the company focuses on helping millions of job seekers into new roles as the world gets back to work after the global pandemic.
Founded in London in 2011, Adzuna now operates across 16 markets internationally, helping tens of millions of job seekers to access more than 12 million jobs each month.

The job search engine gives job seekers access to almost every available online job listing in a single site so they can cut through the noise, zero in on the right role faster and land the right job.
It also runs ‘Find a job’, the UK Government’s online job board and one of its most used online services, as well as powering the Office for National Statistics’ labour market indices, which track the labour market recovery on a weekly basis and have been critical in monitoring the impact of the pandemic on jobs and the economy.
“We’re delighted to welcome James to our growing team,” said co-founder and CEO Doug Monro.
“His wealth of experience and strong commercial, operational and leadership background will help scale Adzuna in our efforts to help more people around the world find better, more fulfilling jobs.”

Parr added: “I’m pleased to be joining Doug, Andrew and the Adzuna team to help them with the next stage of their journey.
“Now is a critical time for the labour market globally, as more people look to change careers and up skill, and companies ramp up their hiring in the wake of the global pandemic.
“It’s exciting to join a company poised to help more people into work at this pivotal moment of recovery.”
