Business technology enterprise solutions firm Focus Group has unveiled a new CEO and chair.
The £250 million turnover firm welcomes Neil Hall, who brings over 20 years of industry experience, to the role of CEO. Hall most recently served as president at Computacenter North America, where he drove business transformation initiatives.
Focus Group says his appointment signals its ambition to accelerate its expansion and enhance its service offerings.
The Brighton-headquartered firm, which employs more than 1,100 people, provides over 29,000 businesses with technology solutions across telecoms, IT, cybersecurity, connectivity, mobile and energy.
The company has also named Peter Sweetbaum, former CEO at Content+Cloud and currently CEO at Ethixbase360, as chairman. He joined the board in September 2024 as a non-executive director.
Completing a trio of appointments, Chris Morris now joins as non-exec director.
Morris, who currently serves as CEO of The Citation Group, a Wilmslow-based provider of compliance and HR services, is said to bring deep operational experience and strategic insight to the board.
Hall said: “I’m excited to join Focus Group at this pivotal moment in its evolution. The company has built an impressive foundation in business technology solutions and I see tremendous opportunities to accelerate our growth.
“With our strengthened board and talented team, we are well-positioned to become the partner of choice for organisations navigating their digital journeys.”
Commenting on LinkedIn, Sweetbaum added: “I’m delighted to be joining the Focus Group Board as chairman working closely with our new CEO Neil Hall, Chris Morris as non-executive director and the Hg and Bowmark Capital Teams.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Focus Group exec leadership team over the past couple of months and been truly impressed by their client focused approach, passion and vision.”
Focus Group made 12 deals in 2024 and the work-rate doesn’t look to be slowing down. Hg took a 25% stake in the business in April 2024.
