Law firm Napthens is investing in a new Lancashire headquarters, bringing its Preston and Blackburn teams together under one roof from early 2027.

The firm has secured the 30,000 sq ft first floor at Waterside in Blackburn, a modern office development on Haslingden Road which opened in 2020 and has been home to various parts of EG Group.

The move will see staff relocate from Winckley Square in Preston and Walker Office Park in Blackburn to the new headquarters.

Managing director Stephen Faulkner said: “The move is an important part of our continued investment in Napthens and follows an extensive search for the right location for our Lancashire teams.

“Our new office will give colleagues more opportunities to work together, with collaborative spaces, meeting facilities and areas designed to support flexible ways of working.

“This is an important milestone for Napthens and a significant investment in our future.

“We’ve spent considerable time exploring options across Preston and the surrounding area to find the right location for our Lancashire head office.

“Waterside gives us the opportunity to create a modern workplace that supports collaboration, strengthens connections across our teams and provides an excellent environment for both our colleagues and clients.

“Bringing our Preston and Blackburn teams together in one location will help us build on our strong culture, enhance the way we work together and support our continued growth across the North West.”

Keith Melling, head of the corporate team at Napthens, said: “We have grown geographically, invested heavily in people and technology and become an increasingly modern and ambitious North West business. And Lancashire remains fundamental to who we are.

“This is about our next chapter and is also a major vote of confidence in our county of Lancashire, its businesses and its future – and the gardens are amazing!”
