Welsh EdTech Learna has been acquired by Dutch firm Reducate in a multi-million-pound deal.

Learna was founded in Cardiff in 2010 and serves more than 1,500 active learners.

It delivers 100% online, modular, tutor-led programmes – postgraduate masters, diplomas and certificates – for doctors and healthcare professionals, designed around medical career progression.

Learna has more than 12,000 customers and a portfolio of more than 100 university-accredited programmes. Academic partnerships for accreditation include the University of South Wales and the University of Buckingham.

The acquisition broadens the Reducate group’s geographic reach and strengthens its position within certified medical education. It already owns Oxford Medical and CME-Online, and has also acquired GCP Central (Netherlands) and GOING PUBLIC! (Germany).

Reducate now provides online continuing professional development solutions to more than 200,000 professionals across over 50 professions.
