M&S finance boss to join Moneysupermarket

Online price comparison group has named the former acting CFO of Marks and Spencer as its new finance boss.

Scilla Grimble, who has also held senior positions at Tesco and was managing director at UBS Investment Bank, will be appointed to the board as chief financial officer, subject to regulatory approval.

Grimble’s start date will be confirmed “in due course”.

“I am very happy to be joining Moneysupermarket and look forward to working with the team to build on the success of the business and deliver the new strategy,” she said.

Grimble is currently director of group finance and was previously interim chief financial officer of Marks and Spencer, having joined the group in 2016.

She succeeds Matthew Price who, as previously announced, is to step down on 31 October 2018.

Mark Lewis, chief executive, added: “I am delighted to have Scilla join the team.

“She brings significant experience to the group of leading finance teams in several consumer facing public companies and has a strong background in commercial finance and banking.

“Having launched our new strategy at the start of the year, Scilla will strengthen our management team capability and help us deliver growth.”
