Manchester-based mobile tech firm Apadmi has added 36 new staff in the last the five months and is to take on an additional office space at The Landing, in MediaCityUK, Salford.

Over 60 per cent of the new recruits are developers, and includes two project managers and three digital designers.

Following the fast expansion, the firm has taken a third Greater Manchester office space at innovation and technology hub The Landing, based in MediaCityUK.

The firm said it is already looking forward to welcoming a further seven staff by the end of September and is also currently recruiting for a further 20 vacancies in a breadth of positions across the business.

Garry Partington, Apadmi’s CEO, explained: “It’s hard to remember sometimes that Apadmi started out as just four friends – now, 10 years on, we’ve just hit the big 100 in staff count, a milestone we didn’t even consider in 2009.

“A lot has changed in that time; more clients, larger projects, new technology – you have to be prepared for anything in this industry, which means we need to focus on investing in our staff and their team’s development. It’s never been a more exciting time for us – and it helps that Manchester is the place to be for technological innovation!”

The firm has recently signed technology partnerships with Charles Stanley, Co-op Health, SailGP and HSS, and is developing its own products.

“The Landing is a really natural fit for us – MediaCityUK is the place to be for tech right now anyway, with so many opportunities for sector disruptors,” continued Partington.

“The Landing is packed with some of the most innovative start-ups and ideas in Manchester, and that restless attitude towards tech is exactly the kind of ethos we live by – they’re ideal neighbours for us.”.”

This news comes after Apadmi announced their new initiative with Northcoders, as the first Curriculum Partner for the northern coder bootcamp.
