Paul Docherty, the founder of Midlands tech company i-nexus Global, has resigned.

The chief innovation officer has left the listed company to “pursue new challenges”.

Docherty founded the company in 2001 and served as chief executive until 2012. It underwent an IPO last year, raising £10 million in capital.

Headquartered in Coventry with over 50 employees, i-nexus floated on the AIM market with a market capitalisation of over £23 million.

Its cloud-based strategy execution software is being used by around 36 global blue-chip businesses based across the US and Europe.

“It has been a wonderful and fulfilling journey with i-nexus,” he said.

“Following the group’s successful IPO last year, I believe the company is well-placed to achieve its growth ambitions and now is the right time for me to move on and explore other opportunities.”

CEO Simon Crowther said: “On behalf of the board I would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul for all that he has done for the company and for the valued contribution that he has made over the years.

“We wish him all the very best for the future.”
