Manchester United star Diogo Dalot has invested £840,000 into London-based HealthTech Bioniq.
The full-back, who has been a Manchester United regular in the past few seasons, joins his former United team-mate and current international captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who is among the firm’s shareholders after investing last year.
Bioniq is a developer of personalised nutritional supplements based on blood biomarker data and Dalot has been integrating the firm’s formulas into his diet over the past three years before deciding to invest.
The news comes after the company raised £11.5m in Series B funding last July to expand its global market share.
Dalot’s investment will be used to help the 2019-founded firm accelerate its growth but it also increases its credibility and is a useful marketing tool.

“Diogo has an exceptional approach to performance optimisation and recovery, constantly seeking the most effective and scientifically backed methods to enhance his physical and cognitive capabilities,” said Bioniq founder and CEO Vadim Fedotov.
“His dedication to craft and commitment to maximising potential makes him a perfect fit for Bioniq. He shares our vision and mission, recognising that the future of health lies in precision, personalisation, and efficacy.”
Dalot added: “When it comes to high-level performance, my biggest focus has always been finding that extra 1 per cent — the key to setting myself apart from the rest.
“Since discovering Bioniq in 2022, it’s been a game-changer for me. I’ve seen the results for myself. Achieving such progress is only possible with a product that’s truly personalised and tailored specifically to my needs.
“Now, I’m thrilled to take the next step as an investor. I believe in Bioniq’s mission and see the tremendous potential of this business, especially with the growing global demand for personalised nutrition.”
