Manchester-headquartered social media marketing agency Social Chain has announced the promotion of Charlotte Bowker as the agency’s new business director.

In her new position, the company said Bowker will take on a broader remit across the Social Chain client base—ensuring strategic and operational best practice is delivered throughout the business.

Since joining the agency in 2016 as an account manager, Bowker has helped to secure contracts from big brands including ASOS x Nike and Amazon, and has held responsibility for managing and growing some of Social Chain’s largest accounts including Nokia, Superdry, Thomas Cook and Revolution Bars Group.

Bowker, who moves to the new role from associate director, succeeds Oliver Yonchev, who was recently promoted to US managing director to assist with Social Chain’s growth across the US.

“Since 2016, I’ve lived the Social Chain story so I’m excited to share our experiences and learnings with clients, partners and the wider industry,” said Bowker.

Yonchev, now managing director of Social Chain USA, added: “Charlotte is one of the most talented professionals I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside.

“Her commitment to our clients and people is second to none. We have tremendous ambitions for our UK business, and fortunately Charlotte’s capabilities exceed the scope of the challenge.”
