Tech sector body Manchester Digital has made a trio of hires ahead of the Manchester Digital Festival in 2027.

Niomie Haynes, Caroline Thee and Ella Gago-Brookes have joined the organisation, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Haynes, who is the new head of ecosystem and membership, joins with 18 years’ experience at The Very Group and, more recently, four years at the North West Cyber Resilience Centre.

Thee has a background in global politics, policy and funding and has been appointed innovation programmes lead.

She will lead the planning of Manchester Digital Festival and also the award-winning DigitalHER programme.

Gago-Brookes is the new ecosystem and membership lead and will also support the wide-ranging events programme.

Katie Gallagher OBE, managing director of Manchester Digital, said: “As the tech body for the region, we are constantly evolving and changing to reflect the changes and needs in the tech sector.

“Our three recent new hires have all brought with them a wide variety of strengths across tech, policy, building partnerships and community, as we continue to grow and underpin the region’s tech and digital sector.”

Manchester Digital Festival takes place between February 8-12, 2027.
