Some of the biggest names in Leeds’ flourishing tech sector will be taking part in an exclusive investment webinar on January 31st.

Later this year the inaugural 2022 Leeds City Region Tech Climbers will take place and will shine a light on some of the area’s brightest tech firms.

Leeds City Region’s tech sector is riding the crest of a wave and is set to add thousands more jobs to the thousands already created.

Talk of levelling up is set to further shine a light on cities like Leeds, which has attracted a raft of global companies and seen tech companies raise millions of pounds in investment.

Ahead of publication of the Tech Climbers List, the ‘Tech trends and the investment story in the Leeds City Region’ webinar will take place on January 31st.

The exclusive webinar will hear from some of the biggest names in the region’s tech scene and officially open entries to the 2022 Leeds City Region Team Climbers list.

Confirmed speakers for the event include BigChange founder and chairman Martin Port, which received £75m from a US VC in 2021 and Sarah Pawson, founder and managing director of Fruition IT and Fruition Consulting, which have a combined turnover of £27m.

They’ll be joined by Sandip Khroud, partner of Hill Dickinson; Sarah Hex, business development manager of Mercia; Gareth Lynton Jones, partner of BDO; Peter Kirby, co-founder of Tred; David Mckee, CEO of Slingshot Simulations; and Mel Ellyard, senior manager of the British Business Bank.
