A Leeds-based IoT company has announced a new relationship with a top four UK retailer.

Hark’s cloud-based platform allows businesses to monitor, store and analyse sensor data in real-time to increase efficiency while reducing waste.

The company sealed the deal with the second largest chain of supermarkets in the UK and are set to provide unprecedented visibility of asset energy patterns.

Working with Hark will allow the FMCG giant to monitor physical assets in real-time detecting anomalies in performance for preventive maintenance and a reduction in energy usage.

“Hark is now in a very exciting phase, our work with this retailer is a testament, not only to the robust benefits of the platform we’ve built but also the demand for the creation of insight out of energy consumption data within the retail market,” said CEO Jordan Appleson.

“We’re seeing a broader understanding of the power of machine learning and its applications across various industries as business owners become more astute.

“We’re extremely excited to be working in this space and to see the tangible benefits the Hark Platform can provide to the retail market”
