Co-working company Areaworks has announced a new site in East London .

The creative hub in Hoxton will open next month and offer 28 full-time working desks and 56 flexible desks.

Areaworks Hoxton intends to build a supportive environment for SMEs, entrepreneurs, creatives and freelancers, with areas which can be transformed for workshops, lectures, brainstorms and breakouts.

The firm, which runs a similar space in North London, says there will be a roof terrace with ‘Insta-worthy’ views across London, as well as a living room area.

Located by Regents Canal, it joins tech giants such as Google, Amazon and McKinsey who have already invested heavily into the Shoreditch and Hoxton area.

“Hoxton is one of the most vibrant places in the UK with a real sense of community and a strong reputation for supporting local businesses,” said Areaworks founder and director Panny Lawrence.

“Our co-working space will champion like-minded business owners and creatives, giving them a sense of community and a base to build their businesses.

“The blueprint for our co-working spaces is derived from the kind of place I could only have dreamed of when I was starting out in business. A community of talent who are able to share their skills and knowledge.

“Areaworks adds a personal touch that large traditional workplaces cannot. We’re proud to be a part of Hoxton and support local businesses achieve their full potential.

“We’ve got big plans for the UK and we’re hoping to mirror the success of our parent company’s coworking spaces worldwide, starting in Hoxton with plans to launch even more locations.”

Membership packages start from £249 per month for a flexible desk and dedicated desks from £299 per month.
