COMPLETED – IFB2016: Big Data and the IoT conference

Technology

BusinessCloud looks at how Big Data and the Internet of Things can transform your business in this half-day conference at the 2016 International Festival for Business.

Thursday 30th June 2016, 9am-12.30pm

Martin Luther King Building, Albert Dock, Liverpool L3 4AQ

There’s a lot of talk about Big Data and the Internet of Things but do you know what it really means and how it can grow your business?

In its simplest form the Internet of Things allows everyday objects – from industrial machines to wearable devices – to gather data, communicate with each other and, most importantly, take action based on that data.

Businesses are inundated with data on a daily basis but how they analyse, capture, search and store that data can make or break it.

Weightmans has joined forces with BusinessCloud and sponsors University of Liverpool to host a half-day conference during IFB2016 to lift the lid on Big Data and the Internet of Things.

Chaired by new BusinessCloud editor and award-winning journalist Chris Maguire, the conference will focus primarily on the private sector but will also look at the impact on the public sector.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Internet of Things
  • Big Data and how it’s developing
  • Innovations
  • Public /private sector
