HealthTech firm Visionable appoints CTO

Healthcare-focused video conferencing tool Visionable has announced Rachel Dunscombe at its CTO.

The new appointment was most recently CEO of NHS Digital Academy, and brings to the new role over a decade of work in various tech roles including multiple NHS positions.

Dunscombe began her tech career in 1999 at Swiss Life as an eCommerce lead, before moving into a service management and infrastructure role in the NHS England Cheshire & Merseyside Primary Care Group.

From 2008 to 2013 Dunscombe was head of service management at NHS North West, before becoming CIO at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.

In 2017 she was appointed chief executive of the NHS Digital Academy alongside her role as CIO of Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.

She is now a NED at The Digital Health Society, and organiser for TEDxMerseyside.

Founded in London by former NHS manager Alan Lowe and commercial and social entrepreneur and CBE, Lord Victor Adebowale, Visionable is now used by over 100 individual organisations across the NHS.
