South West-based Grace & Green has raised £1.3m with support from Lifted Ventures to fund its growth plans.

The round will accelerate the company’s ambition to launch two world-first, patented R&D innovations in period and incontinence care.

Earlier this year Grace & Green was selected as one of eight startups to join the Amazon Sustainability Accelerator, helping new businesses with innovative ideas create a more sustainable future.

The company has quickly become a leading voice within the hygiene sector, known for its social impact, innovation and sustainability.

Lifted Ventures partners with British Business Bank

The company is the highest-scoring B Corp in disposable period care and with certified carbon neutral products and ISO-certified operations.

Their range of tampons and pads, made with organic cotton and bamboo, are free from chlorine bleaches, fragrances and synthetic dyes and packaged exclusively in biodegradable and recyclable materials.

Fran Lucraft, founder and CEO of Grace & Green, commented: “This investment marks a hugely significant milestone for Grace & Green as we bring to life our bold vision for sustainable period care and beyond.

“With Lifted Ventures’ support, belief in our mission, and commitment to investing in our journey, we are scaling a brand that places ethics, impact, and innovation at the heart of everything we do.

With over 600 direct clients – including FTSE100 giants Lloyds and Sky – the company has seen revenue grow by more than 40 per cent year-on-year.

The round qualifies for EIS, and will support further R&D, talent acquisition, and international expansion.

Grace & Green’s ambitious pipeline includes patented innovations that are set to redefine the category, building on its recent £304k Innovate UK Smart Grant win.

Dargue, who along with Helen Oldham was included in BusinessCloud’s 2024 Northern Leaders list,  added: “Grace & Green exemplifies the type of high-growth, impact-focused business we love to back.

“Their leadership in sustainability, combined with a scalable commercial model and clear market demand, makes this a standout investment. We’re excited to join them on this journey.”
