Bookkeeping automation platform provider Dext has appointed a new general manager for its UK and Ireland business.
Grant Picknell will lead the company’s drive towards growth and further success in the UK.
His most recent role was vice president of sales at IRIS Software Group, following his tenure at Sage as vice president of the accountant segment. He also played a pivotal role in the successful launches of QuickBooks in the UK and Canada.
He joins the business during a period of rapid commercial growth for Dext, with CEO Sabby Gill spearheading the expansion of its global operations within the Middle East, South Africa and wider APAC.
Dext has 12,500 accountant and bookkeeper partners, along with 43,000 business customers.
“I’m really excited to join Dext as the business moves into a new chapter of its growth,” said Picknell. “Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about delivering solutions that genuinely help accountants and bookkeepers.
“As Dext’s UK & Ireland General Manager, I’m looking forward to building on the great work that’s already been done, especially as we continue to enhance and evolve our offering.
“My focus will be on ensuring we keep delivering customer centric solutions that make a real difference, while helping the business and partners we serve grow even further.”
Gill added: “The past year has been momentous for Dext and we have more exciting developments on the horizon. I’m delighted to welcome Grant to the team at this pivotal moment as we continue to innovate and meet the expectations of businesses, accountants, and bookkeepers worldwide.
“Grant’s expertise and leadership will be integral to our journey as we drive innovation and cement our position as the global leader in bookkeeping automation. We look forward to the significant impact he will bring as we continue to grow and shape the future of the industry.”
