Investment

A dating platform for fitness enthusiasts has secured backing from champion powerlifter Nathaniel Massiah.

FITFCK says the investment – sparked by an introduction from electrician-turned-fitness content creator Callum Roberts, now part of the team – values the business at £15 million.

At just 21 years of age, Massiah is a fitness content creator with more than 500,000 followers, an online coach and a sponsored athlete by some of the biggest global fitness brands. He also recently won the Junior European Powerlifting Championship.

“I’m very impressed with FITFCK’s community growth. The concept of connecting like-minded gym lovers is something we can all relate to. I cannot wait to see what we can achieve together,” he said.

The startup previously secured investment from OnlyFans founder Tim Stokely – at a £3m valuation – before YouTubers Chaotic and SXVXN, Ternion Capital managing director Edward Stubbings and online business mentor James Vogle joined the cap table.

The brand has a YouTube channel as well as apps for iOS and Android. The latter has more than 50,000 downloads.

Founder Jamie Wykes-Hobday said: “Creator investors will be an integral part of our growth. I’m so grateful to already have such a solid group of creators on board and cannot wait to see what is next for the brand.”
