Cybersecurity

Three experts from the world of cybersecurity have been confirmed for BusinessCloud’s forthcoming virtual event ‘Cybersecurity and threat actors during COVID-19’.

The mass move to working from home transformed the way in which businesses operate – and their cybersecurity profile.

How have companies moved to protect themselves during lockdown? And what do they need to know as we move into the ‘new normal’?

Birmingham-based CyberQ Group uses artificial intelligence and automation to provide leading-edge solutions which meet clients’ specific needs.

Its founder and CEO Chris Woods, who will speak at the event, previously managed elite security teams at the European Space Agency, HP and Fujitsu.  Whilst at HP, he developed and led a cybersecurity practice, culminating in the acquisition of ArcSight for $1.5 billion.

Harman Singh, director of Altrincham-based Cyphere which specialises in penetration testing and managed security services – will speak about his experience with online retailers and financial services among other cyber-crime related verticals.

Holly Williams, MD of Manchester-headquartered Secarma, is an influential ex-military cybersecurity expert who served for seven months in Afghanistan.

In her subsequent pentesting career, she has almost a decade of experience supporting clients including global, blue-chip business, SMEs and the public sector.

The experts will discuss lockdown trends in cybersecurity, how threat actors have altered their approach and how businesses should be protecting themselves in the coming months and years.
