Parcel delivery firm Evri has signed a two-year extension to its delivery partnership with Manchester-based Debenhams Group, just days after its merger with DHL eCommerce UK was cleared by regulators.

The Leeds-based business has worked with the fashion group formerly known as boohoo for over a decade.

Debenhams Group, which owns brands including PrettyLittleThing, boohoo, boohooMAN and Karen Millen, will now see its customers benefit from Evri’s £50m locker expansion, aimed at more than doubling its network of ParcelShops and lockers to 25,000 locations by 2030.

The agreement comes during a period of rapid change for the Yorkshire-headquartered courier, which is also progressing a planned merger with DHL eCommerce UK and has recently acquired Irish logistics and customs clearance provider Coll-8.

The merged business is set to deliver 1bn parcels and 1bn business letters annually and comes after Evri was acquired by US investment group Apollo last year from Advent International for £2.7bn.

“We’re thrilled to further bolster our relationship with the Debenhams Group and its brands, as we move into this next phase of our partnership,” said David Saenz, Evri chief commercial officer.

“In what has een over a decade of working together, it’s been incredible for both businesses to grow alongside one another, and this is evidenced in the increased volume of parcels we are forecasting to deliver to their customers this year.

“This is an exciting time for Evri, as we invest in doubling our ParcelShop and locker network by 2030, as well as the announcement of our proposed merger with DHL eCommerce UK, all of which makes it particularly special for us that we can continue to strengthen our long-term client relationships.”

Debenhams Group CEO, Dan Finley, added: “As a global business serving millions of customers, delivering a seamless and reliable service is our top priority.

“Today’s shoppers expect speed, flexibility and full visibility when it comes to receiving their items, whenever and however they choose to shop.

“This is exactly what we have found in our partnership with Evri.

“As we continue to scale our marketplace model, we’re delighted to extend this partnership with Evri, giving customers greater choice and convenience as they shop thousands of brands at Debenhams Group.”
