Manchester-based EHE Ventures (EHE), a UK investment fund focused on AI, has announced a six-figure investment into SUBJCT, a London-based startup pioneering AI-powered content automation for publishers and content-driven brands.

The deal marks the second investment from EHE Venture’s AI Growth Fund, following its recent backing of pet health startup Scooch.

SUBJCT’s platform eliminates the need for time-intensive manual internal linking by using semantic tagging and structured data to drive page views, increase engagement and improve SEO performance at scale.

As part of the investment, EHE Venture Studio – a joint initiative between EHE Ventures and The Startup Factory – will also provide hands-on technical support via its in-house product and engineering team.

Neil Vose, CEO of EHE Venture Studio, said: “SUBJCT is exactly the kind of AI-first, commercially focused company we want to back. Manual internal linking has been a pain point for content teams for years.

“SUBJCT transforms that process with intelligent automation that saves time and delivers measurable traffic gains. With the rise of AI-driven search, structured content and internal authority are more important than ever.”

Dan Reeves, co-founder of SUBJCT, added: “This investment from EHE is an exciting validation of what we are building here at SUBJCT. It gives us the commercial runway to accelerate customer acquisition, scale our go-to-market strategy, and enhance the platform’s performance for our high-value publishing partners. It’s a pivotal step in positioning SUBJCT as the category leader in AI-driven content engagement optimisation.”

The funding will be used to advance SUBJCT’s AI tagging engine, expand commercial reach, and support more editorial teams across publishing, media, and branded content sectors.

Ben Martin, co-founder of SUBJCT, said: “EHE’s support allows us to accelerate platform development, consolidate our team, and expand our commercial model at a pivotal moment for content publishers. As search undergoes a fundamental shift, we’re focused on giving editorial teams and audience growth teams the tools they need to thrive in the AI era.”

EHE Venture Studio, via the fund, plans to deploy up to £5m in 2025 into early-stage UK startups leveraging AI to create scalable, impactful solutions.

The fund combines capital investment with deep technical and operational expertise to help founders accelerate product development and go-to-market execution.
