The chairman of Dotdigital is to step down for health reasons.

The email marketing automation firm said Mike O’Leary, who joined the board as chair in January 2020, will leave once a successor has been put in place.

O’Leary is also the chairman of Ipswich Town Football Club and a non-executive director of Epwin Group plc. He is to also step down from the latter role.

An experienced businessman with more than 35 years of board experience at AIM, FTSE 250 and FTSE 100 listed companies, he is a former CEO of West Bromwich Albion Group PLC.

“I would like to wholeheartedly thank Mike for his contribution during his tenure. On behalf of all at Dotdigital, we wish him a speedy recovery and the very best going forward,” said Milan Patel, CEO of Dotdigital.

In November Dotdigital reported organic revenue growth of 23% to £58.1 million, with EBITDA up 9% to £19.8m.
