Workplace firm Regus and community interest company SocialBox.Biz have forged a partnership which aims to help homeless people get back on their feet.

To date, Regus sites have received approximately 200 items including laptops, office telephones, network switches, servers, desktop computers, mobile telephones, and business attire.

In celebration, the two firms organised a special donation day to hit the milestone of donated 1000 laptops donated by 2020.

Richard Morris, UK CEO of Regus, says: “We are incredibly excited to be partnering with SocialBox.biz to support this cause. As a workspace provider driven by tech, we know how integral digital skills are to the way that people live and work.

“Instead of putting their old mobile phone at the back of a drawer, never to be seen again, we are asking anyone using a Regus centre in London, or living nearby to one, to make a difference by donating this unwanted tech. In doing so, you will be helping even more people to learn essential new skills.”

Those who want to take part in helping reach the milestone include Regus clients, which include entrepreneurs, small businesses and consultants.

The public is also invited to donate laptops, computers, old mobile devices, attire, and more.

Before donating, donors are asked to remove private data from tech devices as this is a public event.

More information can on the SocialBox.biz website, which shows the progress being made towards its goal.
