Terra (LUNA) defied the 24-hour trend in the cryptocurrency market with a 5% rise.
LUNA is approaching $65 at the time of writing (7am UK), but remains 9% below its value a week ago.
Solana (SOL) was the other major coin to climb, up 2% to $181, while its seven-day price is also up 2%.
Polkadot (DOT) shed 5% to $25.63 – 6% down over seven days – while Cardano (ADA) lost 4% to $1.25, 4% down on last Thursday.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) lost 3% to around $47,500, which leaves it 2% down in a week.
Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) dropped 3% to 17 cents – but is 3% up on last Friday’s price – while its Ethereum-based spinoff SHIBA INU (SHIB) lost 4% and is 7% down over seven days.
Following gains of 17% and 15% in the previous two days, Avalanche (AVAX) dropped 2% to $102 but remains 15% higher than its price a week ago.
Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most valuable coin, lost 2%. The smart contract blockchain platform’s token is around $3,950, 4% down over seven days.
Ripple (XRP) remained around 83c and is 4% down in a week. Binance Coin (BNB) dropped 1% to $530, 8% down over seven days.
yearn.finance (YFI) broke into the top 100 coins thanks to a 17% boost, reaching $24,741.
A few other coins defied the downward trend, with BORA (BORA), Celo (CELO) and Arweave (AR) all gaining more than 10%.
Elrond (EGLD) fared the worst, dropping 17% to $264, but is around where it was last Friday.
The overall market cap of the more than 15,700 coins is at $2.21 trillion, down 1.6% in the last 24 hours.
