Polkadot (DOT) was the only major coin to climb significantly as the cryptocurrency market lost value in the last 24 hours.

DOT climbed 3% to $29.50 at the time of writing (7am UK) – a second day of gains following heavy losses over the weekend – leaving it 22% down over seven days.

Ethereum (ETH) held its value from Tuesday morning. The world’s second most valuable token is around $4,375 and 7% down in a week.

Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) lost 1% to around $50,700, which leaves it 11% down over seven days.

Cardano (ADA) and Solana (SOL) both lost 5% and are both 12% down in a week. Their token prices are $1.39 and $191 respectively.

Ripple (XRP) lost 2% to 83 cents and is 18% down in a week. Binance Coin (BNB) also lost 2% to $579, which leaves it 8% down on a week ago.

Terra (LUNA), which recently cracked the top 10 of the most valuable currencies, remained steady just below $68 and is up 20% in a week.

 

Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) remained around 18c, 16% down over seven days, while SHIBA INU (SHIB) dropped 2% and is 19% down on its price last Wednesday morning.

Avalanche (AVAX) is at $91 following a 5% loss, which leaves it 27% down in a week.

Tezos (XTZ) gained the most value among the top 100 coins in the last 24 hours. It is at $5.54 thanks to a 34% rise. BitTorrent (BTT) gained 24%.

Kadena (KDA) shed the most value, 11%, to sit at $11.47.

The overall market cap of the more than 15,300 coins is at $2.37 trillion, down 0.5% in the last 24 hours.
