Dogecoin and the ‘Dogecoin killer’ again shed value in the last 24 hours.

The latter, SHIBA INU (SHIB), had rocketed past its parent coin in terms of market cap.

However falls in recent days saw it drop below DOGE and stablecoin USDC and out of the top 10 cryptos.

In the last 24 hours Ethereum-based spinoff SHIB shed 18%, which puts it 34% down over seven days.

DOGE, meanwhile, lost 2% and has fallen almost to 26 cents at the time of writing (7am UK), which puts it 10% down over seven days.

Binance Coin (BNB) gained 5% to $591, up 19% in a week, while a 1% boost for Solana (SOL) sees it sit at $242. The latter is 21% up on last Friday’s valuation.

After performing well in recent days, Polkadot (DOT) dipped 1% to below $53. However it is 23% up over seven days.

Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most valuable crypto, hasn’t dropped far from its record valuation – it has remained at a stable price in recent days – and is worth $4,549 at the time of writing.  The smart contract blockchain platform is 4% up over seven days.

Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) also remained fairly static in the last 24 hours, sitting around $62,450. It is up 2% on last Friday morning.

Cardano (ADA) dropped 2% to $2.01 and is more or less where it was a week ago, while Ripple’s XRP is at $1.19 after a 2% decrease. XRP is 12% up over seven days.

The overall market cap of the more than 13,600 coins is at $2.74 trillion after barely moving in the last 24 hours.
