The major cryptocurrency coins lost value over the weekend – with one exception.

Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most valuable coin, climbed slightly from $2,450 on Friday morning to above $2,500 at the time of writing (7am UK), a slight gain.

ETH is 3% up on its price a week ago.

Terra (LUNA) was the big loser, dropping a whole $10 to $44. It is a massive 33% down in a week.

Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) dropped £250 to hover just above $37,000. It remains 5% up in a week.

Binance Coin (BNB) fell from $389 to $370 and is more or less where it was last Monday morning.

Avalanche (AVAX) dropped slightly to $65 and is 6% up over seven days.

Polkadot (DOT) fell from $18.29 to $17.40 and is 1% down in a week.

 

Solana (SOL) dropped $2 to $90 and is slightly up on its price last Monday.

Ripple (XRP) fell from 61 cents to 59c and is 4% down in a week, while Cardano (ADA) dropped from $1.04 to $1.02 and is also 4% down over seven days.

Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) fell below 14c after a slight gain. It is more or less where it was a week ago.

 

The overall market cap of the more than 17,200 coins is at $1.67 trillion, compared with $1.69tn on Friday morning.
