The cryptocurrency market fell back in the last 24 hours, with major coins Polkadot, Solana, Dogecoin and Terra each losing 5% in value.
Polkadot (DOT) is at $21.54 at the time of writing (7am UK), 7% higher than its price seven days ago.
Solana (SOL) dropped to $111 and is 2% up in a week, while Terra (LUNA) is at $55.62, 8% up over seven days.
Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) is back below 16 cents thanks to the drop, but 11% up over seven days.
Binance Coin (BNB) lost even more value, down 6%, as it fared the worst among the majors. Now at $414, it has nevertheless enjoyed a 9% gain over seven days.
Cardano (ADA) is at $1.18 following a 4% drop and is 10% higher than its price last Wednesday morning.
Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most valuable coin, is around $3,100 after a 3% fall. ETH is 13% up on its price a week ago.
Ripple (XRP) shed 3% – having gained a massive 20% in the previous 24-hour period – to sit at 86c, leaving its seven-day price up a whopping 38%.
Avalanche (AVAX) lost 3% to drop below $88, with a seven-day price increase of 21%.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) only dropped 2% to around $43,750 and is 14% up in a week.
The overall market cap of the more than 17,400 coins is at $1.99 trillion, a 3% decrease in the last 24 hours.
