After days of price increases, Cardano dropped 10% of its value in the last 24 hours as the cryptocurrency market dipped below $2 trillion.
Its ADA token is at $1.41 at the time of writing (7am UK), yet remains 16% up over the course of a week.
Terra (LUNA) was the only major coin to grow its value, adding 1% to $78. That leaves it 6% up in a week.
Solana (SOL) dropped 2% for a second consecutive day to stand at $138, with its seven-day price down 1%.
Binance Coin (BNB) also shed 2% to $463, more or less where it was last Wednesday morning.
Polkadot (DOT) is down 4% to $24.38 and 6% down over seven days. Ripple (XRP) is heading towards 74 cents thanks to a 2% fall, 3% down in a week.
Avalanche (AVAX) dropped 2% to below $85 and is down 8% on a week ago.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) fell 1% to around $41,775, 2% down on last Wednesday morning.
Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most valuable coin, shed 3% for a second consecutive day to around $3,100 and is 4% down in a week.
Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) is below 17c after falling 2% – but 8% up over seven days – while its Ethereum-based spinoff SHIBA INU (SHIB) is 3% down in the last 24 hours and also 3% down over seven days.
The overall market cap of the more than 16,900 coins is at $1.97 trillion, down 1.9% in the last 24 hours.
