Avalanche and Solana were the big winners among the cryptocurrency majors in the last 24 hours.
AVAX followed its 17% gain in the previous 24 hour-period by rocketing a further 15% to $104 at the time of writing (7am UK).
It is up 13% on its price a week ago.
SOL climbed 9% for a second consecutive day to $177, although its seven-day price is down 7%.
Terra (LUNA) is approaching $62 thanks to a 7% boost which leaves it 18% below its value a week ago.
Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most valuable coin, rose 4% for a second consecutive day. The smart contract blockchain platform’s token is back above $4,000, 8% down over seven days.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) gained 2% to around $48,800, which leaves it 2% down in a week.
Polkadot (DOT) is up 3% to $26.91 – 6% down over seven days – while Cardano (ADA) gained 4% again to $1.30, 6% down on last Thursday.
Meme coin Dogecoin and its Ethereum-based spinoff SHIBA INU barely moved. DOGE is around 18 cents, 2% up over seven days, while SHIB is 7% down in a week.
Ripple (XRP) gained 2% to 83 cents and is 4% down in a week. Binance Coin (BNB) climbed 1% to $533, 11% down over seven days.
The overall market cap of the more than 15,600 coins is at $2.25 trillion, up 2.5% in the last 24 hours.
