Polkadot was among the major cryptocurrency coins to gain value in the last 24 hours.
DOT regained the 5% it had lost in the previous 24-hour period to sit at $17.59 at the time of writing (7am UK). It is 2% up in a week.
Avalanche (AVAX) climbed 2% towards $75 yet is 3% down in a week.
Ripple (XRP) gained 2% to close on 75 cents. That leaves it 1% up over seven days.
Terra (LUNA) – the year’s stellar performer – added 1% to top $96 and is 4% higher than its price a week ago.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) each dropped around 1% to below $38,900 and $2,600 respectively. They are 6% and 5% lower than their prices last Friday morning.
Binance Coin (BNB) is at $372 following a 1% loss. Its seven-day price is down 6%.
A slight loss puts Solana (SOL) at $82, leaving it 11% down over the course of seven days.
Cardano (ADA) also made a slight loss to 80c and is 8% down in a week while meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) is up half a percentage point yet remains below 12c. DOGE is 8% down in a week.
The overall market cap of the more than 18,100 coins is at $1.74 trillion, a 0.4% decrease in the last 24 hours.
