Equity management platform Capdesk has announced a Series A extension which sees the funding round top £8 million.
Led by Fidelity International Strategic Ventures, a dedicated venture capital team at Fidelity International, and MiddleGame Ventures, an early-stage FinTech venture firm, the extension follows an initial raise of £3m in 2020, led by Fuel Ventures.
The London firm, which enables privately owned companies to manage their equity digitally via a single platform, has raised £11.7m since being founded in 2015.
Capdesk counts hundreds of Europe’s fast-growth businesses as its clients, including Gousto, Secret Escapes, Privitar, Voi Technology and Billie.
It caters to founders, employees and investors by digitising equity, options and warrants transactions and giving shareholders access to Europe’s largest private secondaries market through a partnership with Seedrs.

The company says the extension will position it to build a fully integrated ‘seed to post-IPO’ equity solution for a traditionally underserved space in Europe.
“Today’s announcement makes Capdesk the best-funded equity management solution in Europe,” said CEO and co-founder Christian Gabriel.
“More importantly, it combines the FinTech expertise and capital support from MiddleGame Ventures and Fidelity, paving the way for Capdesk to build an equity solution never before seen in Europe.
“With this investment we can take a significant leap forward in our journey to create a European-wide digital ecosystem that allows for the safe, secure and fair transaction of equity.”
