BusinessCloud has continued its record-breaking performance in 2025 with another impressive set of results in May.

Last month saw nearly 60,000 unique users to our website – bringing the total number of website visitors during this year to 368,000.

BusinessCloud is looking to hit one million unique users in 2025 – more than double 2024’s figure.

The performance was in addition to hosting three hugely successful events with the launch event of GM Rising Stars of Business 2025; the North East Northern Leaders event with Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies; Greggs’ CEO Roisin Currie; and Moja founder Sophie Milliken; and FUEL Liverpool on May 16th.

May also saw a significant increase in subscribers to our daily newsletter and the launch of our MediaTech 50 innovation ranking.

Among the best-read stories were THG’s demotion from the FTSE 250 and the collapse of former unicorn Builder.ai.

BusinessCloud editor Jonathan Symcox said: “I think it’s fair to say May was our busiest month of the year so far with three big events in Manchester, Newcastle and Liverpool.

“To put our website performance into context, 60,000 unique users would have been by some distance our highest figure for 2024.

“Our goal is to hit one million unique users in 2025 without resorting to the clickbait stories you see elsewhere.

“We’re not resting on our laurels and we’ll be launching our new Northern Leaders podcast in June.

“We’re also proud to have joined the Business Buddies scheme at Rochdale’s Springhill Hospice because it’s important to us to support the local community.”

BusinessCloud tech reporter Patrick Killeen said: “May’s website performance is really satisfying because the figure hasn’t been skewed by one or two massive stories.

“Our mantra is ‘tech insight with bite’ and our reporting has really led the way on the collapse of Builder.ai.
