Former world champion boxer David Haye has invested in recruitment app Syft.
‘The Hayemaker’, notable for his high knockout percentage and whom won world titles at both cruiserweight and heavyweight, has an interest in tech businesses.
He has chosen to invest in Syft, which allows people to apply to work at hospitality and events and claims to save clients 55 per cent in temp worker fees while maintaining an average hourly salary of £9.25.
“Supporting British entrepreneurs is really important to me, especially those who are the driving force behind tech and growth-focused businesses,” Haye said in a statement.
“I not only invested in Syft’s vision, but I also recognised the company’s work ethic and dedication to success.”
Haye was part of a £2.65 million seed round.
Laundry and dry cleaning service Laundrapp has secured £5 million in additional funding as it looks to expand in the UK and internationally.
