Dragons’ Den star Steven Bartlett has made another key hire ahead of his planned move to the United States.

The appointment of Jules Davies Marriott comes a week after  Amy Golding was named at the new CEO of his private office.

Bartlett recently announced he’d signed a deal with the world’s No 1 talent agent, WME, to represent him in the USA.

The 32-year-old tech entrepreneur will be splitting his time between Los Angeles and the UK.

Bartlett’s burgeoning private office now consists of more than 50 companies and both Davies Marriott and Golding will have key roles going forward.

Marriott has clocked up nearly 20 years’ experience advising some of the world’s most influential figures, including her tenure as chief operating officer for Simon Cowell’s empire.

She also served as chief of staff to the late Dame Zaha Hadid, an Iraqi-born British architect, artist and designer.

Davies Marriott joined Bartlett’s new company, FlightStory, a year ago and was appointed chief of staff to his private office, ahead of his planned move to the US.

She’ll oversee content, brand partnerships, IP monetization, and venture strategy, as well as drive global market expansion.

A key focus will be Bartlett’s US operations, ensuring a seamless Anglo-American infrastructure to support him as he transitions to life in America.

Davies Marriott said she was delighted to take on the new role.

“Steven Bartlett is redefining what it means to be a modern entrepreneur – he’s building an ecosystem that fuses media, business, and influence in a way that hasn’t been done before,” she said.

“My role is to take that vision and scale it into a global force – structuring opportunities in media, technology, and consumer brands that will shape the future of entrepreneurship.”

Bartlett added: “Jules is one of the most exceptional strategic operators in the industry. Her ability to structure and scale high-impact businesses into global powerhouses is unmatched.

“I first spoke to her several years ago, and even then, it was clear she had a rare kind of brilliance. I remember thinking at the time that there would come a day when I’d need her on our team.

“Four years later, I reached out as our business started to expand globally, and I’m incredibly grateful she chose to join us. She’s already made a profound impact.”

Davies Marriott played a defining role in Cowell’s business empire, spearheading the acquisition of the remaining 60 per cent of Syco Entertainment from Sony Music and securing a $125m deal against the Got Talent franchise.

In January, Bartlett spoke about his excitement of signing for talent agency WME on Instagram.

“It was a really f*cking surreal pinch-myself moment to sit in their LA offices as we agreed the deal, looking at posters of their other talent who are icons and are idols of mine – like Adele, The Rock, Christopher Nolan, Denzel Washington, Drake and so on,” he said.

“Who would have ever thought that a podcast recorded from my east London kitchen might lead to this….. absolutely not me. But here we are, trying to figure this out.”
