The COO of AJ Bell plc is to retire at the end of the year.

Roger Stott, who joined the listed investment platform in 2008, will also step down as an executive director.

Headquartered in Salford Quays, AJ Bell is one of the UK’s largest investment platforms, with over half a million customers.

Stott is a former group finance director and chief risk officer at the company. He was appointed to the board in the newly created role of COO in August 2021, taking responsibility for the operational aspects of the business.

CFO Peter Birch and CTO Mo Tagari will assume the FCA senior manager function responsibilities of the chief operations function, subject to regulatory approval.
