With a view to scale the business commercially and expand overseas, CiiVSOFT’s modest number of years in the market demonstrate its ambitious growth plans.

CNC Robotics provides integrated robotics solutions to businesses in order to streamline production processes, increase productivity, and improve overall business performance. Having only been established for a short period of time, DriverNet has showcased strong business growth. DriverNet provides a mobile operative smartphone app and central online hub to connect transport providers and their customers. Currently the only ed-tech company in Liverpool that offers a parental engagement platform for schools and nurseries, Parentapps specialise in the development and production of purpose-built mobile apps and websites for schools. With plans to expand their platform and technical offering, Parentapps are looking at continued growth within Liverpool City Region.

RedWigWam

Boasting a huge projected revenue increase for the coming financial year, RedWigWam offers its 2,000+ customers a unique tech solution to their temporary recruitment needs. Sci-tech Daresbury based firm Syrenis offers a ground-breaking business solution called ‘Cassie’, which assists organisations in solving the problem of managing contact, preference, and consent data. It enables organisations to synchronise their existing systems, creating one single source of the truth for each individual contact, whilst remaining compliant under regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. The business is still in its infancy, but the platform boasts 100 million contacts globally, and manages 1.6 billion preferences.

Sysgroup plc

Sysgroup supports customers with their strategic and operational IT requirements by providing managed IT, security, and cloud hosting services. They do this through various products, systems, and services, including Avalanche, a device which enables their customers to quickly and securely copy large amounts of data to send for loading into Sysgroup’s cloud system. Sysgroup is another of the bigger businesses on the Tech Climbers list, and the business is keen on continued growth, looking to invest in the next generation of technology talent from Liverpool’s local universities.

tickr is on a mission to transform impact investment (investment with a dual purpose of making a positive return and to have a positive environmental or social impact) for Europe’s next generation of investors. Thousands of first time and experienced investors have joined the impact investing movement via tickr’s smartphone app, which aims to break down the traditional barriers to stock market investing and making it a positive experience for both the user and the planet. With uptake in the UK so far, tickr aims to expand across Europe and to offer its impact investment platform and products to both individuals and institutions.

PIN IOT

PIN IoT has developed a technology that tracks containers in real time. The process uses tracking devices and software to processes data into insight via maps, charts, dashboards, and alerts. The systems shows the real time location of every container, identifying which ones are available for use, and also sends alerts when they are stolen. With only three years in business, the company have already worked with industry giants such as Biffa and are well placed to lead this new market both in the UK and internationally via a scalable platform that could transform the waste industry supply chain.

Play.Firstperson

Play.Firstperson is to become a banking application that works on top of any bank account, using the PSD2 Open Banking framework. It is designed to be a white labelled product providing the high street and major banks with a new, innovative customer acquisition tool. The business regularly uses freelancers from Liverpool City Region, taking advantage of the already rich talent pool.

Real Space

Machine vision has revolutionised medical image analysis, but solutions are not pervasive across all branches of medicine. Real Space provide a self-contained optical headset that is compatible with all extant content and workflows due to the fact that it’s an independent device with no software requirements. This means it can be quickly deployed into any extant system without incurring overhead costs. Based at Sensor City in Liverpool, RealSpace’s prototype has been refined into a robust and compact optical product demonstrator. Real Space’s next steps are to complete product evaluation and deploy PEQ demonstration units to leading industry voices.

SupplyWell

The latest national figures state that £1.26 billion is spent on supply teachers each year, and up to £520 million is spent on agency fees in LEA schools alone – £15.1 million of which is in Liverpool City Region. SupplyWell’s platform has been developed to address this issue and save schools money by connecting them directly with high calibre teachers, whilst providing wrap around care for those working in schools, in a bid to reduce teacher absence and improve staff retention.
