LCR Activate, in association with Praetura Ventures, has launched the inaugural LCR Tech Climbers 2019 list, celebrating the fastest-growing and most innovative tech scale-ups in Liverpool City Region. Judges from LCR Activate and Praetura Ventures considered nominations from businesses which demonstrate significant operations in LCR.
The result is a list of the best tech scale-ups in LCR which are providing a unique tech solution to an existing problem and are creating disruption in their target sectors, including healthcare, education, manufacturing, and tech for good. The 2019 list also includes the region’s Ones to Watch – up-and-coming businesses that are active in the region, and are on course for great success in the future, with new and exciting technology and solutions.
3D Life Prints
3D Life Prints provides an affordable and efficient way for hospitals to access 3D technologies through the provision of a service package of hardware, software, and staffing. Having been established for around six years, the company boasts impressive projected growth for the next financial year, and is currently looking to open a further eight new Hubs both in the UK and in Europe. The company is aiming to expand internationally, setting its sights on the US, Dubai, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
Angel Solutions
Angel Solutions are one of the biggest businesses on the Tech Climbers list, having seen significant growth since being established With an established reputation within the Liverpool City Region, Angel Solutions creates innovative web-based applications to help all levels of the education sector on a nationwide level.
Blinx Solutions
Blinx Solutions is only a few years old, but it’s already set to make a huge impact in the healthcare sector, pioneering a digital application to support how Primary Care Networks can drive greater community care. Based in Daresbury, Blinx Solutions has thrived in Liverpool City Region and is looking to invest back into its local community through their work with the NHS.

CiiVSOFT, headquartered at Sci-Tech Daresbury, is a human resource and talent acquisition software company that works alongside its customers to identify and solve their hiring issues. Real Space
Machine vision has revolutionised medical image analysis, but solutions are not pervasive across all branches of medicine. Real Space provide a self-contained optical headset that is compatible with all extant content and workflows due to the fact that it’s an independent device with no software requirements. This means it can be quickly deployed into any extant system without incurring overhead costs. Based at Sensor City in Liverpool, RealSpace’s prototype has been refined into a robust and compact optical product demonstrator. SupplyWell
The latest national figures state that £1.26 billion is spent on supply teachers each year, and up to £520 million is spent on agency fees in LEA schools alone – £15.1 million of which is in Liverpool City Region.
